The choice of many restorers these days is to have their parts sand blasted to remove the rust and then have them powder coated.  Powder coating provides a long lasting, durable finish that resists chipping and cracking.
Powder coating is available in many different colours; from the correct factory satin or semi gloss blacks to wild red or Blue electric and candy colours.
